Permanent Make Up 

Nilam Patel - our Semi Permanent Make specialist 
Nilam Patel, often called the 'Eyebrow Queen' due to her skill in transforming anyones eyebrows into a work of art, is one of Europes top semi-permanent make up artists who has made enhancing features her forte.

As one of the premier trainers with Nouveau Contour Nilam trained Jade Goody at the Milton Keynes clinic to be a Permanent Make Up Artist, Jade wanted Nilam to help her do 'latino eyeliner' so she could work with Amy Winehouse. Nilam also starred as the Permanent Make Up Artist on Living TV's 'Just Jade' featuring Jade Goody of Big Brother fame. Nilam has transformed Jades Mum, Jackey giving her eye brows and lips that have transformed her face. The reveal was shown on Sky TV's Extreme Makeover, with the help of our Doctor who carried out all the injectibles for Jackey. Here are the before and after pictures! 

The most popular effects are eyebrow enhancement, eyeliner and lips. The results last for up to five years and although Nilam can't 'tattoo and tell', she has worked on many international celebrities. We can't promise you a film deal but hopefully you will feel like a star!

Questions?

What happens during a treatment? After an initial consultation the shape and colour of your treatment is agreed on between the client and technician and the pigment is placed into the skin accordingly. The whole process for one area takes approximately one hour. The treatment is painless as a topical numbing agent is used throughout the treatment.

How soon can I go out? You can usually go about your daily routine immediately but some clients experience some swelling and redness which normally subsides within 48 hrs. The colour will be approximately 40% darker and the area may be dry and flaky for 3-7 days after the treatment.

How long will the effects last? Some pigment will remain in the skin permanently but will gradually fade over time. It varies from client to client but generally lasts 3 to 5 years. We recommend a colour boost within 2 years to maintain freshness.

What if fashions change? We would never perform a treatment that is too dramatic or trendy. The idea is to enhance rather than change your features. Colours are chosen to compliment your skin tone, hair and eye colour. Colours can be intensified or changed at any time if you wish

Is there any chance of infection? The strictest sterilisation procedures are adhered to at all times. A new, single use disposable, sterile needle is used for your complete safety. All procedures conform to the British and European Health and Safety standards. Lip treatments may occasionally cause a cold sore. Clients who are prone to an outbreak should use a topical treatment for a few days beforehand.

What about allergic reactions? Tattoo pigments have been used for thousands of years and reactions are very rare. Nouveau Contour pigments are of the highest grade and are hypoallergenic. However we do always advise a patch test.
